It's a cute product but it's not sturdy & the plants doesn't get the water like it should when watered in the center. You have to water all the way around & even then, none of the plants have done good in the stackable. I have also tried different plants to see how they work & I haven't had any success with them.I love this planter! Perfect for flowers and strawberries! Very well madeSpace saving design allows for vertical planting. I'm planning on strawberries and cherry tomatoes in this planter in the spring and summer but it would look very nice with flowers and some draping vines like sweet potato vines and petunias or the like. It's assembly is as easy as putting the black pieces into the drain holes and then stacking the planters. It would be great to have wheels or a large tray for the bottom but either of those items are easily purchased separately. I'm excited to fill it up with dirt and plants as soon as the weather starts to warm up. I'll update photos then when I get it planted up. Pros: space saver, nice sturdy thick plastic planters. Cons: no bottom saucer or wheels.Update: 5/18/22, I've got it mostly potted up with strawberries and peppers. See updated photos. I have had to prop it up a with a stake because my yard is totally uneven but it has lasted through two minor storms without falling over. It just takes a quick moment to take apart if there are high winds and I have done that once out of an abundance of caution. I have been turning it every few days so that all sides get enough sunlight. These planters arrived and took about five minutes to assemble. Fill with dirt before adding each layer and then plant your plants once you have it put together. This has good drainage which is perfect for me as I live in a area that rains daily. The only downside is it is heavy once put together and it does not have wheels so make sure you put it where you intend for it to stay. I planted some herbs in it that I purchased at the grocery store and it is the perfect size.I wanted something I could put on my porch and this is it! The front part of my porch gets early light, from daybreak until y'know, the sun is at noon, so I picked flowers that are more shade loving and small. I had a large bag of good garden soil so the flowers were planted quickly and watered. So far they are doing well and this neat design will allow the flowers and their greenery fill in so that it looks like it is floating on top of the one below it. The terracotta color blends well with the color my porch is painted, so that's also a good thing - it just looks like it belongs there! The only thing I could wish for would be a set of casters for the bottom planter? So the whole set could be moved if needed.I have wanted some of these for many years. They seem sturdy. When stacked they are a tad unstable, but hopefully with the weight of the soil and plants that should settle out. Nice drainage inserts. Easy to put together and take apart and empty they nest together without taking up a lot of room. Hoping to use these for the abundance of strawberry runners I have.Picked up the 5 stack option.I'm starting to run out of spots for my plants. My only option is at this point is up.This will be my entry into a vertical outdoor planter pot.Includes:5 planters and the soil separators. The planters. Are terra cotta in color.Made of Polypropylene.Top edge is folded over.Bottoms have notches for the stacking. Each planter is really 3 smaller pots.Plant in the 3 outer pot areas.Only the top pot can be planted at the center.Soil separators.Black plastic and resemble a 3 point star shape. With slots for the water drainage. These simply snap into the bottom of each planter.Only go in one way.Added my soil medium and then a few small plants and a few seeds.Added a little straw on top of the soil before stacking.Much easier to add now.Found a great location on the porch and started stacking. This vertical planter was fast to setup, no tools needed.Could easily make tow smaller stacks if needed. Also blends in well with my others plant pots.Well made and should last, keeping mine in partial sun.Planted some scallions, radishes, celery and peanuts. This would be great for: strawberries, fresh herbs and flowing plants. As with me, great for anyone needing to grow more and save space.Exactly what I was looking for.Hope this was helpful.i can't wait to use these for the summer.sturdy and water draininggood gift for a beginner garderner
